However, most accounts of these events remain overwhelmingly focused on the experiences of the two superpowers. The Lithuanian EU Presidency - a discussion with Eitvydas Bajarūnas

The European Union faces a number of pressing challenges, including recovering from the Eurozone crisis, negotiating a new trade deal with the USA (under allegations of widespread spying), and repositioning itself in a world where power is shifting towards the south and east. Lithuania holds the next rotating presidency of the Council of the EU and is in a prime position to shape the EU agenda.
