Prof. Logevall

Professor Fredrik Logevall is a Swedish-American historian and educator at Cornell University, where he is the John S. Knight Professor of International Studies. He is a specialist in U.S. foreign policy and the Vietnam Wars. He currently serves as vice provost for international affairs and as director of the Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies. His most recent book, Embers of War: The Fall of an Empire and the Making of America's Vietnam (Random House, 2012), received the 2013 Pulitzer Prize for History and the 2013 Francis Parkman Prize from the Society of American Historians, among other awards. Logevall also serves as president of the Society for Historians of American Foreign Relations (SHAFR).
