Jonas Tallberg is Professor at the Department of Political Science at Stockholm University, and co-director of its research group on Global and Regional Governance. His primary research interests are international organizations, European governance, and institutional theory. He is the author or co-author of The Opening Up of International Organizations: Transnational Access in Global Governance (Cambridge University Press, 2013), Leadership and Negotiation in the European Union (Cambridge University Press, 2006), and European Governance and Supranational Institutions: Making States Comply (Routledge, 2003), and co-editor of Transnational Actors in Global Governance (Palgrave, 2010). His articles have appeared in journals such as International Organization, International Studies Quarterly, European Journal of International Relations, Global Governance, Journal of Common Market Studies, Journal of European Public Policy, and West European Politics. Tallberg has been awarded grants from the European Research Council, the Fulbright Commission, the Swedish Research Council, the Bank of Sweden Tercentenary Foundation, and the Nordic Research Academy, and was in 2012 awarded the Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award from the German Humboldt Foundation. Tallberg has been a visiting researcher at Harvard University, McGill University, the Social Science Research Center Berlin, the European Commission, the Centre for Advanced Study in Oslo, and the Swedish Institute of International Affairs. Tallberg currently serves on the Executive Committee of the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR) and on the Steering Committee of the ECPR Standing Group on the European Union.
